Dr. Rathfelder & Equine Veterinary Associates
Dr. Rathfelder grew up in Southern California, riding horses in San Juan Capistrano since the age of six. She knew that she wanted to become an equine veterinarian soon after her first lesson. Outside of school, she was always at the barn with her horses, especially if a vet was coming to see them. Upon graduation of high school, she attended University of San Diego to complete a Bachelor’s degree in biophysics. She then continued her education in Grenada at St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine, completing her clinical rotations at Texas A & M University. After graduation, Dr. Rathfelde completed a one-year internship at Chino Valley Equine Hospital. Following her internship, she was able to achieve her dream of becoming an EVA vet!
